You’ll be given a basket. Then you go out into the pretty strawberry fields, where you’ll be able to pick your strawberries.

You’ll pay by the KG, and it’s usually about $12 per kilo of fruit.

Whether you’re going for a family day out or you’re with your friends, it’s an activity suitable for all ages, making it a fantastic outing for families, couples, and even solo adventurers.

Top tip – if you get there early, you’ll get first dibs on the riper fruits! The glossier the red strawberry, the sweeter it’ll be.

After you’ve been strawberry picking, don’t forget to stop off at the delightful Hahndorf on your way home. This cute little town is full of character, and there are plenty of places to stop off for a bite to eat after your day in the strawberry fields.
