Located in the heart of Adelaide Hills is the Beerenberg Family Farm. Owned and operated by the Paech family who have lived and farmed on the land for over 200 years! Beerenberg Family is the perfect way to spend a few hours while you are exploring Adelaide Hills or the German town of Hahndorf.

How to get to Beerenberg Family Farm

By car, it takes about half an hour from Adelaide to reach Beerenberg Farm, with free parking on site. If you opt for public transport, the bus T801 takes about an hour from the city and stops at stop 57, right outside the farm.

What to do

  • Strawberry picking

Between November to April every year, Beerenberg Farm offers strawberry picking! Beerenberg Farm has been running strawberry picking since 1975, providing the perfect afternoon with family or friends. Come down to the farm and pick fresh strawberries right from the plants!

  • Farm Cafe

The Farm Cafe offers a tasty breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea. Open every day except Christmas Day, you will find the perfect meal or treat to enjoy during your visit. Bookings are required, so walk in and they will help find you a spot, even on busy days!

  • Experiences and classes

Beerenberg Farm offers a range of experiences and classes you can enjoy on-site. From pie-making classes to high tea, product tasting, or a hearty feast. Bookings are essential for the experiences and classes!

  • Farm Shop

The Farm Shop provides all your favourite Beerenberg products like jams, sauces, dressings, and chutneys. Pick up the famous strawberry jam and caramelised onion chutney or try something new and interesting. The Farm Shop is open every day except Christmas Day.
