Of all the fine labels that come from the incredible Barossa, none encapsulate its immense pedigree like Jacob’s Creek. Yes, this legendary wine can be found in bottle shops, restaurants and wine bars across the world, and its Barossa cellar door isn’t half bad, either!

Jacob’s Creek is renowned for making true Barossa vintages, with earthy Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz being their go-to drops. These can be best enjoyed right from the winery itself, as their cellar door experience contains a range of fabulous tasting experiences complete with luxury grub.

Jacob’s Creek may be the biggest name coming out from the wondrous Barossa, but it is just one of many incredible wineries, all of which provide unforgettable cellar door experiences!

Be sure to check out these other legendary labels whilst in the enchanting Barossa:

Peter Lehmann

If Jacob’s Creek is the biggest winery coming out of the Barossa, Peter Lehmann is the most iconic individual to come out of the region. The man is a Barossa Valley icon, having fended off big wine corp advances and stuck fat with the region’s celebrated heritage and winemaking processes.

This fact alone warrants a visit to his wonderful winery, not to mention their cellar door also provides samples of their 30-odd vintages in some truly quaint surroundings.

Chateau Tanunda

Chateau Tanunda doesn’t just call itself a chateau because it looks nice: Chateau Tanunda is one of the most superbly stately wineries in the world, let alone a purveyor of some of the world’s best Shiraz.

And not only do they let you sample this fine, fine red, but you can also learn all about their winemaking processes, stepping beyond the velvet rope and into the places regular wineries won’t let you see!

Lambert Estate

Lambert Estate not only makes fantastic Shiraz, Rose and Merlot, but they also provide a comprehensive winery experience, allowing you to rest your wine-weary head in some lovely accommodation before continuing your Barossa vino venture.

Yalumba

Yalumba stands out as the biggest Barossa winery that hasn’t had corporate influence take over its venture. Alongside the likes of Peter Lehmann, Yalumba stuck true to its style and continues to produce some of the region’s finest wine, making it a pretty awesome place for a tasting experience, especially when partnered with one of their fantastic tours that run from 10am to 5pm daily.
