South Australia has some of the best wines and wine regions in the country.
South Australia is one of the top wine regions in the world due to how good the wines are. Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale are the more known wine regions in the state. These regions produce some of the best full bodied red wines like cabernet sauvignon and shiraz. The Barossa Valley is best at producing shiraz.
There are hundreds of wineries in the Barossa Valley that produce their own delicious and bold shiraz.

Wolf Blass
Wolf Blass has become one of the most successful wineries in the world since it opened in 1966. The 2021 Red Label shiraz is a bright red with aromas of cherry, plum, and hints of spice. When having the 2021 Red Label, the wine pairs perfectly with pizza and beef meals
A smoother shiraz is the Eaglehawk with aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, and a hint of vanillin oak. The Eaglehawk shiraz pairs perfectly with beef and lamb.
Peter Lehmann
All the wines from Peter Lehmann are bold and full of flavour. One of the best selling shiraz from Peter Lehmann is the 2018 VSV 1885. This wine has dark plums and spice with a hint of choc-mint and charry oak.
Another popular wine is the 2020 Portrait shiraz, which has flavours of plum and dark chocolate. The 2020 Portrait shiraz is great for all occasions and pairs flawlessly with BBQ meats and cheese.
Jacobs Creek
In 1847, the first vineyard got planted which was the start of Jacobs Creek today. The Barossa Signature shiraz has aromas of mulberry, chocolate, and clove. The Barossa Signature shiraz pairs well with hard cheese and red meat dishes.
