This award-winning restaurant promises to be a decadent experience, with superb meals like quail, artichoke, rhubarb and mint being served up in a gorgeous atmosphere of sweeping views and stylish decor.

Octeine at Seppeltsfield

For those of you who would rather save their pennies for purchasing bottles of fine Barossa wine, Octeine is a more relaxed, cheaper option to the aforementioned Hentley Farm. This charming and laid back cafe serves up two things Australian cafes are renowned for: excellent coffee and a ripper smashed av on toast. The coffee is excellent, while the food menu is full of classics that go beyond that of the classic avocado option.

Cafe Sia Gawler

Cafe Sia Gawler may have an unassuming location (it’s tucked within the Gawler Green Shopping Centre), but its food is absolutely mouth watering, with delightful options like slow-cooked pork belly with crispy kipfler potatoes, broccolini, caramelised apple and maple bacon sauce as well as a host of pizza and pasta dishes all available for hungry wine hoppers to launch into.


fermentAsian is an incredibly stylish modern southeast Asian restaurant located in Tanunda, serving up classic Asian dishes with a Barossa twist. The creative menu seems to revel in the opportunity to match southeast Asian cuisine with delightful local produce, with dishes like goi muc squid with fennel and coriander pesto as well as cari ca kingfish curry all adding to a delightful lunch menu!
